Use: Exclamation of wonder/joy. If dinner is tasty, beer is cold, or your footy team wins - anytime something grouse happens, really - it is correct acronymist etiquette to exclaim, "HGIT!"

Origins: Primitive acronymists M Po and Doylie began using HGIT at the pub, without even knowing they were doing it. It is a classic case of auto-acronymy. For this reason, an exact origin time is impossible to pinpoint. Some believe that HGIT has been part of the acronymist mundi for eons.

Note for Indonesian acronymists: HGIT is in use in the expat community in Pulau Nias, but as yet has not penetrated the mainstream. Sources within the Indonesian acronymy community report that a local version is in use and gaining in popularity. The Indonesian version is BBI, or berapa bagus itu!
